Granite State Choral Society is accepting applications.

Application Deadline March 31, 2022

Our director, Jeff Mosher, will be stepping down from the music leadership of the chorus at the end of this spring session. With the acceptance to a Master’s Orchestral Program, life is leading him in new directions, and while it is amazing for him, it’s sad for GSCS. We wish him well and hope he will keep in touch with us.
What that means is there will be an immediate need for a NEW MUSIC DIRECTOR to begin as of July 1, 2022.
Who are you? You’ll be a director looking for a community chorus whose mission is to include singers of all levels of ability who love singing, is ready and willing to take on pretty much any type of music with zeal and, yet, still maintain the focus on making performances meaningful and professional. Music genres performed have encompassed Masterworks, folk, contemporary, gospel, spirituals, jazzy, original compositions and Broadway, sometimes all in the same concert, so you’ll be an adventurous musician. General expectations include, but are not limited to; selecting the repertoire, preparing the music for singers and accompanist, preparing for and running rehearsals, auditioning for chamber, ensembles or soloists as needed, working with the choral board to promote and grow the chorus, participate as able in PR events, and representing GSCS. Selection process will include a Q&A interview and an actual directing audition, both sections to have specific dates to be set once application period has completed. Please send a letter of interest, your resume and salary expectations to SearchCommittee@gschoralsociety.org by March 31, 2022.

We traditionally rehearse weekly on Sunday afternoons in Rochester, NH. Our mission is to provide musical experiences for all ages that are educational, satisfying and community building.
