A Word from our Director

Dear Friends,

We have another fantastic season in store this year, and I hope you are all as excited as I am to dive in!

We begin the 2019-2020 season with a fall program in honor of Veterans Day, focused on the theme of “Patriot’s Dream”. We will resurrect a few old favorites from our last Veterans program three years ago, supplemented with a great many wonderful new additions. We will be joined by several professional instrumentalists in what promises to be a rousing, moving, and meaningful program, with something for everyone. Then in the spring, we will celebrate the rich, dramatic musical repertory of the Broadway stage with a concert of showtunes.
This year we are also inaugurating a new Choral Conducting Internship program, and we are thrilled to welcome Jeff Mosher as our first Assistant Conductor. Jeff is an excellent musician, singer, and accompanist as well as a very talented conductor, and we look forward to benefiting from his expertise and leadership as he plays a key role in furthering our musical development and leading our musical preparations this season. And of course, we are excited once again to welcome back our amazing accompanist Mike Effenberger for another season. With this Dream Team of musical leadership, and two sizzling programs in store, this will be a season you won’t want to miss and won’t soon forget!

Most importantly, I look forward to seeing all of you again, after what feels like an eternity away from you. It was a treat to hear the Mozart from the audience last spring, and while I’ve enjoyed witnessing Gabby’s early musical development (she has some powerful lungs, but her intonation is still in its…infancy), I am very eager to take the helm and get back to making music with you all once again.
See you soon!

Best,
Dan
