“Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.”
Maria Augusta von Trapp
The Granite State Choral Society has shared its joy of singing and love of music with friends and neighbors since 1974. Its members come from every walk of life with a wide variety of backgrounds and include experienced singers and musicians to novices who are just discovering the joys of choral singing. The chorus performs music from various time periods and cultures including Broadway tunes, folk songs from around the world, as well as well-known classical works. Many generous volunteers in the community assist us in promoting the appreciation of the choral and musical arts and, very often, a portion of the proceeds from our annual concerts are presented to area organizations to help them achieve their goals in serving the community as well.

GSCS has brought me great joy. Dan, Liz, and the choir members are GREAT!
Congratulations GSCS on your 40th Anniversary and for your commitment to music. I am proud to be a former director and am thrilled to see the group thriving. Long live the GSCS.
I loved giving Pepere’s music a new life as Gala sculptures.
We have had a love of music our whole life and know that supporting the arts is crucial. GSCS is a wonderful community chorus and a treasure that needs our support. We have enjoyed many beautiful concerts over the years and hope to see GSCS continue to thrive.

GSCS has been a social “fellowship of the singers,” gathering with a common purpose…to make and share music!
GSCS to me is: Friendship, Camaraderie, and Working hard to put it all together to make beautiful music.
Being part of GSCS during the 40th anniversary has been a joy: We have felt like a true “community” singing about our “home” community! Dan has been wonderful along with Jim, helping us to bring Liz and Diane’s words and Nick’s music to life!
